I'm not a consol-er (I don't actually own one).
Pure Pc person!!! D:

As for style of games... I believe we had a discussion about wolfenstein 2010 at one point.
It's got very modern graphics with a good story-line but still lots of violence!

But I also like games such as Tiberium Wars (Command and Conquer) and slightly older, Age of Empires - Age of Conquers (No2 Expansion Pack).

So, first person shooters with a good plotline and army leading strategy games...

What would you classify as a "video game"

Take a look back at the games thread(now in the video games forum) James reeled off a list of good ones there.

I've already seen that thread (It was my thread Bernie!) and I was wondering if there were any others......

I just stated what genre of games I like and we didn't really have an in-depth discussion about any fps and you've changed the topic of that thread to open-world gaming so I started a new one.

Fps specifically to play online? Or for the campaign mode?
Battlefield 3 is quite good and call of duty black ops II is coming out soon, and they're both well renound first person shooters.
As far as things like age of empires go, there's a new c&c which I don't believe you have and Warcraft III is pretty good.

Correct, I'm a bit hesitant to get C&C Tiberium as you get upgrades based on xp or kills... I never liked that...
Does call of duty or battlefield have any storyline?

I am not really into fps or rts (real time strategy) games although Empire Earth was a lot of fun. For rts League of Legends seems to be quite popular. I have a room mate who can't seem to get enough of the game.

Yes, LoL and DotA seem to be pretty popular at the moment, CoD has quite a considerable story line, as does battlefield. Completely forgot about empire earth, I used to love that game, it's better than AoE by far in my opinion.
