I tested search 5.1 and it works. The main difference that the user will see is that the search field and the text boxes will no longer refresh along with the results when going from one page to the next. That will speed things up slightly. The reason I am not going to upgrade the search to the new version just yet is that I need to surgically remove all of the redundant code without harming any of the vital parts of the script. The main purpose of this update is to streamline the code to make it simpler to make bug fixes and and improvements easier.
search 5.1 status
step 1 = done. The search form has been created.
step 2 = delete old search form from search file. hard
step 3 = done. include new search form in search 5.1. medium
step 4 = clean out any loose bugs.
