Summary: Texas Border Wall – Under Trump (2025 – )
Updates, so far this year, regarding the US/Mexico border wall have been rather sparse, but it appears that much is happening behind the scenes. Listed below are the two most recent significant updates regarding the Border Wall in Texas and Texas' efforts to protect itself from the invasion at its southern border.
- 03/16/25: Department of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem announces that 7 new miles of construction is beginning in Hidalgo County, Texas ref.
- 03/18/25: DOJ drops case against Texas' SB4 (2023) and requests the 5th Circuit to dismiss the case as moot. A trial date is scheduled for July 8, 2025 ref.
