Just ordered the MSI Z97 g55 sli motherboard I'm kinda nervous about this part, but it is very highly rated and seems to do everything I want. For a few dollars less I opted out of the SATA express slot as I just don't see myself using it for at least the next few years.
The next and I hope last part I need is the CPU.
