Just gotta say that there is a lot that goes into getting a site built.  I think there is a completion point to all of this; a point where construction largely stops and articles become the main focus.  That is the plan.  I just don't know how long it will take to get there.  

I want to get there.  I want it to be built.  I enjoy building it too.  Maybe too much.  Sometimes the journey seems long.

Well, the site will likely become standards compliant fairly soon and after that more construction.  The quote page needs to be easier to use and several bugs throughout the site need to be taken care of.  The reviews need to be rewritten and the site needs a new banner, although I do like the one that is up.  The links on the left need to be integrated into the admin page and a few files need to be consolidated.  I am sure that when those things are done that I will discover more that needs to be done.

Still, a lot was certainly accomplished today.  The standards compliance project is a lengthy one and I was able to get a great deal of the site cleaned up.  The code for the main page was vastly simplified as well.  I have been meaning to clean it up for maybe a year now.  Every time I cleaned up some of it more code would be added to make it more advanced and complicated.  Part of it was that I simply didn't know how to simplify it.  I only today figured out how it should look so that if I were to go back to the main page I would understand it and be able to manipulate it easily enough.

I do need to sleep now.  I have two practicals this week and a midterm.  After that I hope to get back to the site in full speed.

Come to think of it.  A goals list would be a good idea.  Like a list of things to accomplish for this week and see how far I get.  This week my goal is to finish getting the site standards compliant, work on the quote page a bit more and, if I have time, the links on the left.
