Pre-vacation day.

I had today off and I work tomorrow and then I have another 8 days off, so I want to make the most of my days off, because I won't have much time off after 11/10/24.

Today, I got my portable butane burner stove.  I tried it out and it works wonderfully!  I first cooked an egg and later a grilled cheese.  It was a learning experience, because now that I have my first real taste of having a "kitchen" I'm now inspired to make a kitchen.  Some of the basics I am trying to get is a microwave, some silverware, and maybe a mini-cabinet of sorts.

For a bit of background, I am in a house and due to a series of events, I have been more and more inspired to fix up the basement and make it into almost a separate apartment/living quarters.  I have done a lot so far (by my standards) and to be brief, I have patched up the walls to be more insulated, straightened the crooked stairs, cleaned the basement (a big task in itself!), moved all of my computer and books down here, turned a storage/junk room into my workshop, and lots of other little things.

The basement has become my playground and I'm liking it here more and more!
