Well, after another reboot it would appear that my computer is back up and running. My files were all safe with one or two losses, but all in all everything is fine.
I was talking to a friend of mine about pleasure reading. After starting Palmer I have done very little pleasure reading and as time went by certain thought patterns entered my head like: Why read fiction? It is just a waste of time. What good does it do? Shouldn't I be doing something more productive? What is the point? How is it edifying? What am I learning?
Here is the answer. Reading develops vocabulary, critical thinking, creative thinking, helps me to think ethically, it helps me to grow morally and as a person. So I hope to start a good book today and maybe a few more this week.
