Kirika

Kirika is a 16 year old girl who wakes up one day with amnesia.  She knows she is a student at a local school, but she knows that it is all fake and that even her id is a fake.  She knows that she is truly skilled at killing as well.  The only link that she has to her past is a 20 year old assasin who is one of the best in the business.  All she knows is that the secret to her identity is tied to this person.  More powerful than any of that is the darkness and pain in her soul.  Kirika does not talk much, but she feels an utter darkness and guilt and you can see how it weighs her down for the first 5 episodes.  Around episode 5 you can begin to see someof the smallest slivers of growth.

Mireille

Mireille is an assasin who works alone.  She plays herself out as a dumb blond, but don't let that fool you.  She is very good at what she does and very professional.  She kills for money if the job is right.  She claims to only care about the money, but I wonder if that is really true.  When she decides to help Kirika find her memory it is on the condition that as soon as the mystery is unraveled that she will kill Kirika.  Kirika does not mind and actually seems to like the idea of her own death and as if it were an end to the strange pain she feels inside.  Mirielle is the most mature person on the show and is secretly jealous of Kirika and her better skill at killing.  This jealousy will only increase as the show moves on.

Chloe

Chloe is a dark and mysterious assasin who is also 16 years old.  She loves her job and her mentor.  When she kills it is not out of vengence or love of death, although there may be a bit of that.  Chloe seems to love to kill because she is doing what is right and is an arbiter of justice.  She seems to be tied to the Soldats and most likely works with them in some way.  She claims to be the True Noir.  She is as silent as a Ninja and her weapon of choice is knives.

Altena

Very little is known about Altena, but I'll tell you what I can.  She trained and brought up Chloe and seems to be behind most everything that is going on.  She is the grand manipulator in the show.
