I'm seriously considering retiring the hyphen regex that I use to change hyphens into en dash or em dash. I would replace it with a button to add the symbol instead as well as a couple of arrow buttons.
The problem with my current setup is that I am using it to create imitation arrows as opposed to using actual arrows to create arrows. The code I have in place does not work so well with larger articles. The code I use feels a bit bulky too, but that is the reason I have been somewhat reluctant to remove it.
