news posts have been fixed so that duplicate news tags like "oregon, Oregon, oregon" are reduced to just one instance of "oregon". Tags are always converted to lowercase for various reasons. It is done for uniformity and to keep the sorting and storing of tags simplified.
After looking over the
todo list the only update to the site I want to do is to remove the dash script. The dash script has had a long life, but after much thought I have decided to remove it. The dash script is a needlessly complicated bit of coding used to convert hyphens to the longer and more visually appealing dash. It seems to need constant updating to make sure it does not interfere with other scripts and needs to be updated in order to work with current versions of web design languages, mostly php.
