It really does sound like our country is permanently broken now. The question is where are things headed? The conservatives and liberals are going to their respective camps and no longer want to associate with each other or hear what the other has to say. Conservatives are looking to establish a parallel society complete with separate infrastructure and have made great inroads to establishing it.
For the future I am looking to see where fortified safe havens become established. Florida, Texas, and even my own state of Iowa are a few. I will try to list more states and areas where they become apparent. I'm less interested in the other end of the spectrum.
