I am finally making progress with the CSS layout of the main page. Well, some anyway. There is still a minor issue with making the CSS script cross browser compatible, but I may have an idea of how to take care of that. I removed all the table elements that I could find and have started replacing only the most fundamental parts of the tables with CSS.
There's lots left to do, but all in all I am pretty pleased with the progress made thus far today.
The latest results can be seen here. If you are using Opera or Firefox try increasing and decreasing the page size of the test page and then try the same thing with the main page. One of the goals will be to allow the site to be compatible with all display sizes and monitor dimensions.
One final exam is done and there are two left to go.
