Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ohio create laws that violate their marriage amendments

Minor note, but still noteworthy: A city in Michigan voted to approve a law that homosexuals can't be fired or denied housing solely on the basis of their sexual orientation. Michigan has a strong amendment that bars the recognition of anything similar to marriage.
