Wisconsin Recount Deadline

Wisconsin now has until May 26, 2011 to finish the recount of the election for state Supreme Court seat after a judge extended the deadline for Waukesha county where the recount could not be completed in time.

I find it interesting that when Joanne Kloppenburg was ahead with an unofficial tally of 204 votes she declared herself the winner of the race
ref, but when the official tally came in Prosser was ahead by well over 7000 votes, which in this election is a near insurmountable lead, Joanne Kloppenburg demanded a recount even though she knew that she was highly unlikely to win
ref and that it would needlessly cost the already cash strapped state.
