Wisconsin Supreme Court hears Appling v. Doyle

Oral arguments litigating the Wisconsin domestic partnership registry case was heard before the Wisconsin Supreme Court today, 10/23/13 and can be seen and heard
here. A verdict will likely be made public in a few months. I suspect in January 2014.
The argument from Appling is that the domestic partnership registry is substantially similar to marriage and thus violates the Wisconsin Constitution that states that marriage is defined as one man and one woman and anything identical or substantially similar will not be recognized in that state.
