In Denmark all churches must perform same sex marriages

ref by a vote of 85 out of 111 MPs voting in favor of the new law and 24 against
ref all churches in Denmark are now required to perform same sex marriages in their church. Individual priests may refuse to perform the wedding as long as anthor priest is appointed to do it in their stead. One third of the priests in that country have openly said they will refuse to perform such weddings in their church if asked.

Denmark was the first country to offer civil unions to same sex couples. The Netherlands was the first country to offer same sex marriages. Massachusetts was the first state in the U.S. to offer same sex marriages. As a Christian I know that this ruling will force the church in Denmark to go into hiding. This new law is a really big deal for the church.
