UK apologizes for discrimination against Christian group

On January 21, 2015 the UK government issued a formal apology to the group Christian Concern for canceling their meeting at a government owned venue because the topic was deemed too controversial. The topic a debate for and against same sex marriage.

The surprising thing is that the government apologized after Christian Concern took legal action. The apology is unfortunately only half–hearted as they back track and say there was no intention to discriminate, but any apology by a government for discriminating against a Christian organization is very rare.
