Here is an article from Phys.org about a comparison of the potentials of different energy sources such as oil, fusion, fission, coal, solar and hydrogen and how feasible they are. I like this article because it takes the position of a non environmentalist like myself and comes up with the position that solar hydrogen is the best solution. The article looks pretty well thought out and easy enough to read and just makes sense.
