Efferts to overturn ban on homosexual adoption laws in Florida

Update 10/15/10 The deadline for filing an appeal of the decision to the Florida Supreme Court is
October 22, 2010.

Update 9/22/10 The 3rd District Court of Appeal in Miami upheld a lower court ruling stating that the law is absurd. Oddly enough the 33 year old law is still in effect and will take a ruling by the State Supreme Court to abolish the law.

Update 3/9/10: Florida is the only state with a law that outright bans gay adoption. This has recently been overturned by a state judge and is likely headed to the Florida state supreme court
