Israel Invades Rafah

5/11/24 Israel finally began a limited incursion into the final Hamas stronghold located in Rafah. Some of the goals involve securing the border between Rafah and Egypt where it is believed the bulk of weapons are being smuggled into Gaza. The IDF wants to eliminate
Yahya Sinwar and the remaining Hamas battalions. If possible, Israel wants to rescue and recover the kidnapped Israelis. Afterwards, Israel does NOT want to remain in Gaza, but to establish tribal or family rule in Gaza away from Hamas, Palestinian, or Hezbollah rule. Additionally, Israel will do mop up operations in Gaza to eliminate and any Hamas groups that may try to regroup or form again.
The real question will be to see if it actually happens. I am cautiously optimistic.
